Job summary

Lifespace Communities in Bloomington, MN seeks aMaintenance team member to perform routine maintenance, repairs and refurbishments for our Friendship Village community.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of building maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. Compensation is based on experience, with pay commensurate with skills.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in building maintenance or construction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good condition and arrange replacements as needed.
  • Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
  • Complete work within scheduled time frame and approved budget.
  • Install, finish, repair, paint, and dispose of drywall or other materials.

A few details about the role:
  • Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance. Identify deficiencies and follow procedure for correcting problems.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition, and notifies supervisors to ensure adequate replacements are available as needed.
  • Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
  • Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget and priority set by supervisor.
  • Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
  • Pick up and deliver supplies.
  • Operate maintenance equipment not limited to hand or power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.
And here's what you need to apply:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical education preferred.
  • A minimum of one-year experience working in building maintenance or construction.
  • Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
  • A state issued driver's license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
  • Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
  • Pay is commensurate with experience.
  • Starting pay will be determined by skills, experience, and internal equity.
  • Pay determined by level of experience and position-related competencies.
