Job summary

Lifespace Communities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance team member in Bloomington to perform maintenance duties, preventive tasks, and basic refurbishments. The role requires at least one year of building maintenance experience and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities include completing work on schedule, maintaining tools and equipment, and operating various maintenance gear. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical education preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance or construction.
  • Certification, license or equivalent as required to operate or repair equipment.
  • State issued driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Identify deficiencies and follow procedures to correct problems.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition and notify supervisors for replacements.
  • Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
  • Complete work within scheduled time frame, per budget and priority set by supervisor.
  • Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
  • Pickup and deliver supplies.
  • Operate maintenance equipment including hand and power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.

A few details about the role:
  • Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.

  • Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.

  • Pick up and deliver supplies.
  • Operate maintenance equipment not limited to hand or power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.

  • Vocational or technical education preferred.
  • A minimum of one-year experience working in building maintenance or construction.
  • Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
  • A state issued driver’s license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
