System One is hiring a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) in Beloit, WI for a food/sqf processing facility. The role covers electro-mechanical maintenance, preventive work, and breakdown support for pumps, valves, conveyors, motors, sensors, PLCs/VFDs, utilities, and related systems.
Responsibilities include reducing downtime, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems from diagrams, documenting work, and upholding LOTO and OSHA safety standards in a regulated environment.
Location: Beloit, WI (Onsite)
Schedule: Mon–Fri 2:00pm–10:00pm + occasional weekend call-in (as-needed)
Pay: ~$35/hr (approx. $72,800/yr) + 4-hour minimum show-up pay if called in on weekends
Environment: Food/SQF processing (regulated)
Perform electro-mechanical maintenance in a batching and drying SQF Level 3 processing facility. Maintain production equipment and support systems through preventative maintenance and breakdown support (pumps, valves, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, sensors/instrumentation, PLCs/VFDs, utilities, and minor building/grounds work).
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems using manuals, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
Maintain/repair equipment and plant systems including conveyors/material handling, pneumatic systems, motors/drives, sensors/instrumentation, and piping systems.
Support plant utilities as needed (basic exposure helpful): boilers, refrigeration, air systems, wastewater.
Document work completed and communicate day-to-day maintenance issues to leadership.
Follow all safety practices including LOTO and OSHA requirements; maintain a safe, clean work area.
3+ years industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/processing environment
Strong troubleshooting skills across motors, sensors, conveyors, pneumatics, pumps/valves
Comfortable with PLC/VFD troubleshooting (fault-finding / IO checks / diagnostics)
PMs + breakdown response experience
LOTO / safety mindset
Nice-to-Haves (not required)
Food/SQF/HACCP/GMP exposure
CMMS experience
Boilers / refrigeration / plant utilities exposure
PLC / VFD Note
PLC/VFD troubleshooting is primarily fault-finding/diagnostics. Programming not required.
