Job summary

System One is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This onsite role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM.

The ideal candidate will diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, service VFDs and PLC-controlled equipment, read schematics, and complete repairs with a strong safety mindset to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of 120V-480V electrical systems and power.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial controls, automation, VFDs, and PLC systems.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Troubleshoot motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors, and automation equipment.
  • Support VFDs, PLC-controlled systems, and industrial automation.
  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Complete equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Document maintenance activities and work orders accurately.
  • Ensure safety with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Respond quickly to failures to minimize downtime.

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Work Model: Onsite

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain motors, pumps, compressors, sensors, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
  • Support and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), PLC-controlled systems, and industrial automation equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Complete equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and process improvement projects.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, including lighting, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, utility equipment, and general building repairs.
  • Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, contractors, and service providers to resolve technical issues, schedule repairs, and source replacement parts.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Respond quickly to equipment failures and implement corrective actions to reduce production downtime.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (120V-480V), including single-phase and three-phase power.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial controls, automation systems, VFDs, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools and performing root cause analysis.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with industrial welding equipment and welding processes.
  • Welding and light fabrication experience, including MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding.
  • Technical degree, apprenticeship, or industry certifications in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or related disciplines.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS systems and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
