Job summary

Brookside Properties in Batavia, OH is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep across multifamily properties. You’ll handle unit turns, service requests, and on-call rotations while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills, a valid driver's license, and reliability to support after-hours needs. This role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Multifamily/apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Certification preferred but not required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform unit turns and prepare apartments for new residents.
• Maintain building systems, common areas, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs, including after-hours calls.
• Support property safety standards, inspections, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with maintaining inventory and maintenance supplies.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous multifamily/apartment maintenance experience preferred
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or general maintenance experience
• EPA Certification preferred (not required)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls/on-call rotation
• Basic hand tools and reliable transportation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
