Job summary

MGP Ingredients, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Lux Row team in Bardstown, KY. This role performs routine maintenance on distillery equipment, troubleshoots PLC and instrumentation, and handles electrical work to keep our production running smoothly.

You will work with the maintenance team to service boilers, RO systems, chillers, and other distillery equipment, while following SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules. Strong communication and the ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in the food or beverage field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance per established schedules and requests
• Assist in maintaining and ensure proper operation of boiler, RO system, water softener, chiller and cooling tower
• Demonstrate working knowledge to service and troubleshoot PLC and instrumentation
• Demonstrate knowledge of distillery equipment including pneumatics, pumps, hydraulics, valves, etc.
• Work with electrical systems including 480v/277v, 208v/120v single and three phase
• Maintain clean and tidy working areas at all times
• Adhere to SOPs, GMPs, and safety requirements
• Communicate with General Manager regarding equipment issues and corrective actions
• Assist in Quality Control testing when necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Lux Row team in Bardstown, KY. As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for routine maintenance on distillery equipment, PLC and instrumentation troubleshooting and electrical work.

What will you do?

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance per established schedules and requests
• Assist in maintaining and ensure proper operation of boiler, Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, water softener, chiller and cooling tower
• Demonstrate working knowledge and ability to service and troubleshoot Programmable Logical Controller (PLC) and instrumentations
• Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of all Distillery equipment including but not limited to pneumatics, pumps, hydraulics, valves, etc.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of 480v/277v, 208v/120v single and three phase electrical systems.
• Maintain clean and tidy working areas at all times
• Comply with and follow all necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and Safety requirements.
• Communicate with the General Manager regarding equipment malfunction and or corrective action on daily basis
• Assist in Quality Control testing when necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
