Job summary

MGP Ingredients in Missouri is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to keep production lines running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, and equipment upkeep in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in production, with mechanical/electrical know-how, ability to read schematics, troubleshoot, and lift 50 pounds as needed. On-site work with hands-on collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in production environment (food and/or beverage preferred).
• Electrical, Mechanical or experience working with motors is a plus.
• Experience working on conveyors is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical reasoning skills with the ability to interpret diagrams, schematics, and system behavior.
• Proven troubleshooting ability using logical, step-by-step problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems and comfort working with tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maximize line performance, complete change overs, and conduct daily preventive maintenance of all production equipment.
• Operate various pieces of maintenance equipment such as welding equipment, cutting torches, mill, lathe, and drill press.
• Understand electric, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
• As issues arise, this person will need to be a real-world problem-solver on the production floor.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum of 1 year in production environment (food and/or beverage industry preferred).
• Electrical, Mechanical or experience working with motors is a plus.
• Experience working on conveyors is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical reasoning skills with the ability to interpret diagrams, schematics, and system behavior
• Proven troubleshooting ability using logical, step-by-step problem-solving and root-cause analysis
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems and comfort working with tools and equipment
• Self-started and organized.
• Physical demands requiring lifting of 50 pounds or more times.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Step 1: Application Submitted by Candidate
• Step 2: If qualified, Phone Screen with HR Manager (30 Minutes)
• Step 3: Come on-site for a Second Round Interview; go on a Plant Tour and complete the Mechanical Aptitude Assessment (90 Minutes total)
• Step 4: Notified of selection decisions by HR Manager & Hiring Manager
