MGP Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Lux Row team in Bardstown, KY. You will perform routine maintenance on distillery equipment and troubleshoot PLCs and instrumentation, ensuring smooth operation of boilers, RO systems, chillers, and water softeners.

Qualified candidates bring at least 3 years in the food/beverage maintenance field, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. SOPs, GMPs, and safety come first in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in food/beverage maintenance.
• Strong communication and multitasking.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Experience with GMP/SOP/Safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance per established schedules and requests.
• Assist in maintaining and ensure proper operation of boiler, RO system, water softener, chiller and cooling tower.
• Demonstrate knowledge to service and troubleshoot PLC and instrumentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of distillery equipment including pneumatics, pumps, hydraulics, valves, etc.
• Demonstrate knowledge of 480v/277v, 208v/120v electrical systems.

Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Lux Row team in Bardstown, KY. As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for routine maintenance on distillery equipment, PLC and instrumentation troubleshooting and electrical work.

What will you do?

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance per established schedules and requests
• Assist in maintaining and ensure proper operation of boiler, Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, water softener, chiller and cooling tower
• Demonstrate working knowledge and ability to service and troubleshoot Programmable Logical Controller (PLC) and instrumentations
• Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of all Distillery equipment including but not limited to pneumatics, pumps, hydraulics, valves, etc.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of 480v/277v, 208v/120v single and three phase electrical systems.
• Maintain clean and tidy working areas at all times
• Comply with and follow all necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and Safety requirements.
• Communicate with the General Manager regarding equipment malfunction and or corrective action on daily basis
• Assist in Quality Control testing when necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience within the food and/or beverage field with a strong understanding of the maintenance processes or licensed in skilled trade.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
