Role Description This full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role is based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the community, including performing routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, equipment, and apartment homes. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues, completing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and preparing units for new residents. The role also involves collaborating with property management and other team members to prioritize work orders, ensure safety standards are met, and provide responsive, courteous service to residents. The Maintenance Technician is expected to keep accurate maintenance records, follow company policies and regulatory requirements, and support community appearance and functionality.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in equipment maintenance and general maintenance & repair, with the ability to work on building and apartment systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, including scheduling and performing routine inspections and upkeep.
• Background in industrial maintenance or related environments, with familiarity in using tools, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads, work from ladders, and perform physical tasks safely in a variety of conditions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple work orders and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach when interacting with residents and team members.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• Previous multifamily or property maintenance experience is a plus.
