Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Arlington, TX site. You will support building operations, perform repairs, and ensure safety and reliability of facilities.

The role requires hands-on skills with plumbing, electrical work, and locksmith duties, and you will work with the operations team to maintain a high standard of facility condition. The position emphasizes independence and teamwork, with a need to lift heavy loads, use ladders, and follow company policies.

Qualifications

• > Minimum of 3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing and basic electrical.
• > Must be able to rekey doors and cut new keys for buildings in the area.
• > Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, use ladders to 30 ft, and operate with mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• > Provide own basic hand tools; company vehicle provides other tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Locksmith work: rekey doors and cut keys; maintain key logs.
• Assist operations with maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• General interior maintenance: hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Paint, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested.
• Complete facility inspections and report conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Maintain compliance with state, county, or city codes and hazardous materials handling.
• Document work performed and materials procurement as directed.
• Other assigned operational tasks.

Maintenance Mechanic Job Description - 3/12/19

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts

• Completes special tasks that include but is not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
• Respond effectively to all emergencies.
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.
• Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role.

Requirements:

• Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of one (3) years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
• Must be able to rekey doors and cut new keys for the buildings in the area.
• Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Candidate must possess and provide own basic hand tools required to perform assigned work scope, while other tools and equipment are provided on service vehicle
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
• Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
• Must complete background and drug testing
