Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to service a pharmaceutical distribution center with office space in New Albany, OH. • 5+ years of building repair and maintenance experience in a commercial/industrial environment.

• Valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Assist operations in maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Complete special tasks such as painting, tenant services requests, and general maintenance.
• Perform facility inspections and due diligence, report conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
• Respond to emergencies effectively.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain safe work areas.
• Maintain compliance with relevant codes and ordinances.
• Handle storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials safely.
• Participate in safety and operational process training.
• Keep work environment clean and safe.
• Document work performed and materials procurement.
• Perform PMs on chillers, air compressors and dryers, boilers, pumps, etc.

Education

Maintenance Mechanic - JLL

What this job involves:

As a Maintenance Mechanic your day involves maintaining critical building systems including lighting, HVAC equipment, chillers, boilers, and pumps while leading maintenance staff and ensuring 24/7 operational excellence. You'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergency repairs, handle tenant service requests, and conduct facility inspections to maintain the clean, controlled environment essential for pharmaceutical operations.

What is your day to day?

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts

• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment

• Minor plumbing repairs

• Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned

• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations

• Respond effectively to all emergencies

• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them

• Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws

• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials

• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

• Maintains a clean and safe work environment

• Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed

• Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role

• Perform PM's chillers, air compressors and dryers, boilers, pumps, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5+ year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical in a commercial or industrial environment

• Senior-level experience

• Must complete background and MVR check

• Valid state driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of BAS (Building Automation System) or QBAS (Qualified Building Automation System)

• Experience using Maximo CMMS

• Completion of an applicable technical training program

• EPA Universal

Work Environment:

• Pharmaceutical distribution center with office space

• Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written

Location:

Onsite - New Albany, OH

Work Shift:

• 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Thu - Sat & every other Wed

• 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Sun - Tue & every other Wed

Salary/ Comp:

$22 - $38 hourly + OT
