Job summary

Caregiver Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist the maintenance supervisor in keeping our caregiver homes and properties safe and high quality.

The role involves interior and exterior repairs, vehicle upkeep, environmental checks, and yard maintenance across multiple sites in the Amarillo area. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, basic construction knowledge, and at least one year of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• General Construction knowledge is required.
• Minimum of 1 year maintenance experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with interior and exterior repairs (sheet rock, plumbing, painting).
• Assist in maintaining fleet of vehicles (maintenance checks, scheduled repairs).
• Assist with environmental checks for all homes.
• Maintain yard program to meet neighborhood quality standards.
• Support all projects to maintain operations of Caregiver Inc.
• Maintain regular attendance and timeliness.
• Demonstrate good work ethics with coworkers and residents.

Description

The Maintenance Technician assists maintenance supervisor in maintaining a safe and quality environment for the Caregiver homes and properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Assists supervisor in interior and exterior repairs, such as sheet rock, plumbing and painting.
• Assists in maintaining the fleet of vehicles such as maintenance checks and scheduled repairs.
• Assists with environmental checks for all homes.
• Maintains a yard program which equals or exceeds the neighborhood quality.
• Assists in all projects necessary to maintain the operations of Caregiver Inc.
• Maintains regular attendance and timeliness in duties.
• Maintains good work and personal ethics in dealing with co-workers and resident consumers.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Must be available 24/7 during on-call schedule
• Daily travel required within Area between office, group homes, and day habilitation facility as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• General Construction knowledge
• Minimum of 1 year maintenance experience

Duties of this job are performing the following:

• Sitting is 20% of work time;
• Standing 50% of work time;

• A home setting, varying degrees of background noise, standard home ventilation and lighting, occasional temperature fluctuations are found in the work environment.
