Job summary

CHC Addiction Services in Akron, OH is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to upkeep facilities and equipment, ensuring safe operation across the organization.

The role covers general maintenance, light plumbing/electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and related tasks, with some on-call rotations and potential evening/weekend hours for projects or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and be experienced in diversified industrial, construction, or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of building construction, electrical, heating, plumbing repair, drywall repair, tiling and floor repair.
• Must be organized, able to work independently or with a team, and have a valid Ohio Driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance and repair to CHC buildings and properties.
• Rehab apartments/bedrooms as needed and perform light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Handle minor tiling/floor repairs, drywall repair/painting, and moving furniture as required.
• Offer some custodian services and snow removal as needed.
• Participate in paid on-call rotation and adapt to occasional evening/weekend hours.

Job description

CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction.

We are currently looking for a motivated, conscientious and dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities and equipment in a safe and operational manner.

Duties Include:

• Providing general maintenance and repair to CHC buildings and properties.
• Rehabbing of apartments/ bedrooms as needed.
• Providing light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry services.
• Minor Tiling/ Floor repairs as needed.
• Drywall Repair/Painting.
• Moving furniture if needed.
• Providing some custodian services.
• Snow removal as needed.
• Paid On-Call Rotation.

Although the normal schedule will be 7:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday, there may be occasional evening and weekend hours as projects or emergencies arise.

Starting Wage:

$23 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

Must have High School Diploma and be experienced in diversified industrial, construction, or facility maintenance, have knowledge of building construction, electrical, heating, plumbing repair, drywall repair, tiling ad floor repair and painting. Must also be familiar with tools, equipment and practices ordinarily required for building maintenance. Must be an organized self starter, will to work both independently or with a team. Must have a good driving record and a valid Ohio Drivers license.
