Job summary

CHC Addiction Services in Akron, OH is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep facilities and equipment safe and operational. You will perform general repairs across CHC buildings, rehab apartments, and provide light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work while handling drywall and painting projects.

The role requires a High School Diploma and diversified maintenance experience; a valid Ohio driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and be experienced in diversified industrial, construction, or facility maintenance.
• Must be familiar with building construction, electrical, heating, plumbing repair, drywall repair, tiling and floor repair and painting.
• Must be an organized self starter, willing to work independently or with a team.
• Must have a good driving record and a valid Ohio Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance and repair to CHC buildings and properties.
• Rehab apartments/bedrooms as needed.
• Provide light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry services.
• Perform minor tile/floor repairs and drywall repair/painting.
• Move furniture as needed and provide custodian services.
• Snow removal as needed and participate in paid on-call rotation.

Job description

CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction.

We are currently looking for a motivated, conscientious and dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities and equipment in a safe and operational manner.

Duties Include:

• Providing general maintenance and repair to CHC buildings and properties.
• Rehabbing of apartments/ bedrooms as needed.
• Providing light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry services.
• Minor Tiling/ Floor repairs as needed.
• Drywall Repair/Painting.
• Moving furniture if needed.
• Providing some custodian services.
• Snow removal as needed.
• Paid On-Call Rotation.

Although the normal schedule will be 7:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday, there may be occasional evening and weekend hours as projects or emergencies arise.

Starting Wage: $23 per hour

Minimum Requirements: Must have High School Diploma and be experienced in diversified industrial, construction, or facility maintenance, have knowledge of building construction, electrical, heating, plumbing repair, drywall repair, tiling ad floor repair and painting. Must also be familiar with tools, equipment and practices ordinarily required for building maintenance. Must be an organized self starter, will to work both independently or with a team. Must have a good driving record and a valid Ohio Drivers license.
