Job summary

Washington County School District is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Abingdon, VA to perform skilled trades across carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and locksmith tasks for three campuses.

The position is full-time, 260-day contract, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with compensation based on education and experience. Starting date is immediate; deadline until filled.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge of maintenance work including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, and locksmith capabilities.
• Provides skilled trades support for three schools and assists with other maintenance projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks across three schools and campus facilities.
• Support carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and locksmith work as required.
• Assist with ongoing maintenance projects and upkeep for district properties.
