Job summary

Caring Places Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Westhaven Villa in Aberdeen, WA. The role is full-time with a wage range of $24-$25 per hour, DOE.

You will maintain a safe, clean, and homelike environment for residents, coordinating with leadership and home office on projects and repairs. Ideal candidates have experience with seniors or long-term care, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors or in long-term care is a plus.
• Criminal background check and motor vehicle record check required.
• Willingness to work some nights and weekends (as needed for emergencies).
• Ability to follow safety regulations in a care environment.
• Working knowledge of building maintenance and upkeep.
• Strong communication skills and dedication to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support safe practices and infection control; respect residents' rights.
• Coordinate maintenance projects with Administrator/Office Manager and home office.
• Ensure compliance with AHJ.
• Perform repairs on mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Provide or coordinate routine grounds maintenance.
• Ensure safety equipment is in proper working order.
• Assist in planning and implementing large projects.
• Document work per home office requirements.
• Be willing to assist in other departments of the community.

Westhaven Villa, our beautiful facility located in Aberdeen, WA has an opening for a Maintenance Technician.

Job Duties:

• Support safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents' rights;
• Coordinate projects maintenance and upkeep with Administrator/Office Manager and home office;
• Ensure compliance with AHJ.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on, including but not limited to mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Respond promptly to requests for assistance relating to maintenance;
• Provide or coordinate routine grounds maintenance
• Assure that all safety equipment is in proper working order
• Provide finish work, surface repair, painting,
• Assist in planning and implementing large projects.
• Document work in the manner required by home office
• Be willing and able to assist in other departments of the community
