Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. in Carlisle, AR is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure continuous, safe operation of milling and parboiling equipment. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance to meet daily production needs in compliance with GMP, HACCP and OSHA.

You will install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical systems, keeping records and collaborating with operations to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and equipment instructions.
• Experience with motor controls, sensors and gearboxes.
• English literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair milling and parboiling equipment
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on milling and parboiling equipment, electrical control panels, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic, processing systems, industrial dryers, etc.
• Clean, lubricate and adjust parts and equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults in equipment
• Input and retrieve maintenance work orders in a timely manner
• Communicates knowledge and observation regarding process and/or equipment performance to other maintenance personnel, operations and management
• Comply with all internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations
• Keep work areas organized and sanitary according to set standards
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, OSHA, and all company policies and procedures
• Responsible for own personal safety and safety of others in working area

Job Summary

Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for general facility and equipment maintenance as assigned to ensure continuous, safe, effective and efficient performance of industrial equipment to meet daily operating plans with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Plant maintenance mechanics perform preventive and repair maintenance to meet operational requirements and other duties as assigned by management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial milling and parboiling equipment
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on milling and parboiling equipment, electrical control panels, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic, processing systems, industrial dryers, etc.
• Clean, lubricate and adjust parts and equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults in equipment
• Perform equipment installations support function
• Input and retrieve maintenance work orders in a timely manner
• Communicates knowledge and observation regarding process and/or equipment performance to other maintenance personnel, operations and management

• Keep work areas organized and sanitary according to set standards
• Adheresto Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, OSHA, and all company policies and procedures

Education

• High school or equivalent through GED program

Experience

• 1+ years of industrial maintenance preferred
• Use and repair of motor controls, sensors and gearboxes
• Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
• Basic principles of industrial maintenance
• Use and repair of mechanical and conveying systems
• Installation and repair techniques for pneumatic and hydraulic systems (water, steam, air and natural gas)
• Possesses aptitude, logic and reasoning to determine root cause of operating errors, how to best remedy and repair machines or systems using appropriate tools
• Reads, writes, listens to, comprehends, communicate in English and applies information, knowledge and/or work related documents including blueprints, schematics and equipment manufacturer's instructions
