Job summary

Qualifications

• Technical maintenance schooling or 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; food manufacturing preferred.
• Training in boilers, chillers, or HVAC preferred; strong mechanical background with bearings, seals, and gaskets.
• Ability to troubleshoot/repair gearboxes, chains/sprockets, belts, clutches, bearings, and brakes.
• Knowledge of compressed air, basic plumbing/piping, boilers, and hydraulics is a plus.
• Comfort with hand/power tools, drill presses, and shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Preventive Maintenance program to reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Analyze problems; interpret manuals, drawings, and schematics to perform mechanical repairs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to validate repairs and confirm root cause.
• Follow safety policies, LOTO, GMPs, food safety, and OSHA standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and plant mechanical systems; implement durable fixes.
• Close work orders on time with accurate records in CMMS; communicate across departments.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and startups to hit performance targets.
• Own spare parts inventories and reorder lists to support maintenance.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement and training to build maintenance skills.
• Support utilities: safe operation and maintenance of steam boilers, water chillers, cooling towers, well pumps, HVAC.
