Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a maintenance-focused technician to ensure the plant adheres to established maintenance principles while working with minimal supervision. The role involves emergency repairs, preventive tasks, and collaborating on upgrades within a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic machining and welding skills, and be able to read blueprints.

Qualifications

High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
Manage ambiguity while working through stressful situations.
Positive attitude and a willingness to work with others.
Basic machining skills.
Basic welding skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a group.
Must own hand tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work Permits.
Ability to read blueprints and machine control schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on machines, equipment, and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support major repairs, upgrades, and improvement projects
Safely accomplish assigned tasks
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop equipment specifications and proactive maintenance strategies
Comply with safety regulations
Maintain clean and orderly work areas
Other duties as assigned
