Maintenance Technician

Staybridge Suites – Pecos, TX | 103-Room Hotel

We are looking for a skilled, dependable Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team in Pecos, Texas.

If you are someone who knows how to troubleshoot problems, fix things correctly, and take pride in keeping a property running smoothly, we want to hear from you.

Our 103-room hotel needs a hands-on maintenance professional who can take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of the property and respond quickly when something needs attention.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily maintenance and preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.

• Inspect guest rooms and common areas and address maintenance issues promptly.

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, appliances, doors, locks, and other building systems.

• Perform guest-room repairs, including drywall, painting, caulking, furniture, fixtures, and general repairs.

• Maintain laundry equipment and assist with troubleshooting equipment problems.

• Assist with pool equipment and general pool‑area maintenance.

• Respond to guest maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.

• Identify potential problems before they become expensive repairs or affect our guests.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and preventive‑maintenance work.

• Keep tools, equipment, mechanical areas, and maintenance storage areas clean and organized.

• Work with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are needed.

• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when necessary.

• Help ensure the property consistently meets hotel brand and safety standards.

You don't need to know everything, but you should be comfortable working with your hands and figuring things out.

Experience in any of the following is highly valuable:

• HVAC / PTAC units

• Plumbing

• Electrical

• Water heaters

• Laundry equipment

• Appliances

• Carpentry

• Drywall and painting

• Pool equipment

• Preventive maintenance

• Commercial or hotel maintenance

• Apartment or property maintenance

• Oilfield or industrial maintenance

Hotel maintenance experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates with strong mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or industrial backgrounds.
