Job summary

AHL HealthCare Group in Minnesota is seeking a maintenance technician for full-time work across our metro properties. The role includes repairs, installations of light fixtures, doors, windows, and general upkeep, with a focus on timely completion.

You will collaborate with site teams and document safety concerns as part of ongoing maintenance programs. The ideal candidate has knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systems, and can lift and bend as required; a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Pass a MN DHS background study
• Pass a MVR check
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systems
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
• Managing and reviewing the maintenance requests; planning and prioritizing work
• Documentation of property safety concerns and inspections
• Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation
• Available afterhours for emergencies
• Knowledge to plan projects and be strong at decision-making
• Proficiency to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner
• Perform repairs, installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures and all household appliances
• Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems
• Replace interior and exterior doors and windows
• Repair flooring (carpet, wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone, tile)
• Maintain exterior of homes as needed
• Repair/build outdoor decks, stairs, and fences
• Be on-call to respond to emergency issues
