Job summary

AHL HealthCare Group is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support multiple properties in Fridley, MN. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with some on-call for emergencies. Compensation is $26.00-$28.00 per hour depending on experience.

You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, doors/windows, and flooring. Safety, documentation, and timely communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Pass MN DHS background study
• Pass MVR check
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, electrical systems
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
• Managing and reviewing maintenance requests, planning and prioritizing work
• Documentation of property safety concerns and inspections
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Available afterhours for emergencies
• Knowledge to plan projects and be strong at decision-making
• Proficiency to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner
• Perform repairs, installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures and all household appliances
• Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems; purchase and deliver water softener salt monthly to all metro properties
• Replace both interior and exterior doors and windows
• Repair flooring from stretching carpet to full replacement and repair to include wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone and tile and carpeting
• Maintain exterior of homes as needed
• Repair, replace and build outdoor decks, stairs, and fences
• Be on-call to respond to emergency issues
