Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment.
• Interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
• Use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges.
• Understand systems, equipment and schematics; basic math and troubleshooting.
• Problem solving and ability to work with concrete variables in nonstandard situations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all work instructions and safety policies, including PPE and safety equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
• Repair mechanical components and replace parts (bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches).
• Observe devices in operation to locate causes of problems and troubleshoot.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Lubricate and clean machinery to maintain housekeeping and maintenance standards.
• Complete work orders to improve safety, reduce downtime, lower scrap, and boost efficiency.
• Follow safety rules including Lockout/Tagout and safe work environment practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
