Job summary

Metra Profile Custom Extrusion, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in Rome, GA. The role encompasses installing and repairing electrical/electronic equipment and leading maintenance activities when the Maintenance Manager is absent.

The technician must have 5+ years of plant experience, be proficient with PLC troubleshooting and programming, and able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams. The position runs evening hours 3:00pm-11:00pm, with frequent Saturdays.

Metra Profile Custom Extrusion, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team.

Requirements

Installs electronic and electrical apparatus and control equipment using blueprints and wiring diagrams. Repair or troubleshoot equipment using the appropriate diagnostic tools. Proficient with PLC trouble shooting and programming, have a working knowledge of standard industrial power and lighting, as well as electrostatic paint equipment. Assumes lead role during absence of Maintenance Manager with routine daily activities. Maintains/monitors maintenance work orders for any and all equipment as well as monitoring/recording process parameters daily insuring equipment is performing to the expected task. Reviews shift reports daily for general activities during last twenty four hours reporting abnormalities to the manager. This employee will have no less than five years in plant experience with further education in electrical/electronic/hydraulics and mechanical devices. Provides researched solutions to problem areas for repairs or improvements. This employee will share experience for training of lower classification craftsmen preparing them to move to higher classifications therefore possess skill sets for all maintenance personnel. This employee will assist in or perform other job assignments as assigned by supervision when their normal operation is stopped for any reason.

Summary

This position will work on evening shift, 3:00pm-11:00pm. The schedule will consist of Monday-Friday as well as frequent Saturdays required.
