We seek a Maintenance Tech/Mechanic for 2nd shift (1:00 pm–11:00 pm) in Franklin Park, IL. Requirements include 1–5 years in industrial maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and welding; high school diploma; ability to climb and work up

Qualifications

• 1+ years of plant maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCs.
• Experience with HVAC or machine troubleshooting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 60 feet.
• Preferred: Associates degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or related program.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs on production machines.
• Diagnose and repair equipment using wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Replace defective parts and test repaired equipment.
• Perform fabrication welding and torch operations as required.
• Promote safety, quality, integrity and teamwork.

HOURS:

• 1:00 pm - 11:00 pm - 2nd shift
• We offer a 10% shift premium

Scot Forge is an employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings used in demanding applications all over the world. At Scot Forge, we help our customers with forged solutions from the world's physical infrastructure, energy, and transportation to manufacturing, mining, and our national defense.

We perform a hair follicle pre-employment drug screen test and lift test up to 65 lbs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and preventative Maintenance.
• 1 - 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance environment
• Perform technical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Diagnose combustion, electrical, mechanical equipment. Replace defective parts, reassemble and test
• Perform repair with fabrication welding and torch operations as required
• Work with wiring diagrams, schematics and have knowledge in 480V 3 phase power
• Promote a culture that supports safety, quality, integrity, trust and teamwork

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years of plant maintenance experience
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs
• Experience with HVAC or machine troubleshooting

The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
