Job summary

JCMLiving is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support property operations across NJ, PA, and MD. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and building systems while ensuring safety and comfort for residents.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on craftsmanship, strong problem-solving skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with contractors and site staff.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, drywall and carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain heating and cooling systems to keep residents comfortable.
• Tackle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance installation, drywall and flooring tasks as needed.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and coordinate with third‑party contractors for large refurbishments.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to provide urgent support for property issues.

How You’ll Make an Impact

No two days are the same. You will serve as the resident expert across a wide range of hands‑on disciplines:

• Climate & Comfort Master: Diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems to keep residents comfortable year‑round.
• Core Systems Expert: Tackle diverse daily challenges spanning plumbing, light electrical, carpentry, appliance installation, drywall, flooring, and masonry.
• Community Defender: Execute preventative maintenance programs and oversee seasonal operations (like snow removal and grounds care) to keep our properties pristine, safe, and beautiful.
• Collaborative Builder: Partner directly with third‑party contractors, property supervisors, and site staff to drive large‑scale projects and property refurbishments to completion.
• Hero in Key Moments: Participate in an on‑call rotation to deliver peace of mind and urgent support during emergency situations.

What You Bring to the Team

• Technical Proficiency: Proven experience and/or relevant certificates, with a well‑rounded working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall, and general repairs.
• Problem‑Solving Spirit: Capable, safe, and efficient with all standard hand and power tools.
• Mobility & Independence: A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate company vehicles (golf carts, quads, and utility trucks).
• Physical Readiness: Comfort with active work, including heavy lifting, tile work, and active property mobility.
