Qualifications

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting propane pressure problems and regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair all kitchen equipment.
  • Read and follow kitchen equipment control and power schematics.

Description

Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all kitchen equipment on the property.

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following:

  • Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and policies and procedures.
  • Read and follow kitchen equipment control and power schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all kitchen equipment.
  • Trouble shoot and repair motors and motor control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair kitchen exhaust fan systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures and maintain preventative maintenance log.
  • Assist in the training of fellow employees in the kitchen equipment repair trade.
  • Assist all other engineering employees in performing the engineering function.
  • Monitor and repair propane systems.
  • Maintain and update as built drawings.
  • Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

AGE and GAMING

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required. Three (3) years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, including propane stoves, ovens, deep fryers, hot boxes and dish washing machines is required.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of troubleshooting propane pressure problems and adjust regulators and maintain and repair propane pressure problems

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: Safely lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds on occasions as well as walk and stand 90% of assigned shift. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift. Work around hazardous equipment and power tools. Exposed to hazardous chemicals. Use of personal Protective Equipment such as masks, gloves, shoes, etc, may be required at times. May require working out of doors in inclement weather, and extreme hot or cold conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
