Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for our Fulfillment Center in Phoenix, AZ to perform preventative maintenance on the facility conveyance system and to repair and maintain warehouse equipment, racks, and building components.

You will inspect conveyors, air systems, and packaging equipment, change batteries, and troubleshoot PLC-based systems while maintaining safety standards. Night/weekend OT may be required as part of operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years technical experience in Distribution or Manufacturing environment.
• 480/3 phase electrical and low voltage AC/DC experience.
• Experience with building systems such as fire suppression, air compressors, power distribution.
• Understanding of PLCs and ladder logic.
• Conveyor experience preferred.
• Mechanical experience; hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Windows/PC experience; HVAC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all equipment is operating accurately and safely.
• Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks according to schedule.
• Inspect conveyors, air systems, shipping, packing equipment and building systems.
• Change batteries and repair batteries and chargers as needed.
• Investigate problems and fix conveyor and packaging systems.
• Complete repair orders and parts usage records.
• Work in various seasonal climates; follow safety procedures.
