Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Maintenance Tech III for 1st shift, full-time, on-site in Flint, MI. The role covers customer service, safety compliance, and hands-on facility maintenance across multiple Michigan locations.

You will handle installations, repairs, and general upkeep while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to licensing rules. Qualified candidates bring 5+ years of maintenance experience, carpentry/electrical/plumbing knowledge, and a valid Michigan driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license with clean record.
  • Experience with carpentry, electrical and plumbing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
  • Follow AFC Licensing Rules and organizational policies.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Travel to multiple Michigan locations to perform first‑response maintenance.
  • Install light fixtures, outlets, shelving, and garage door openers.
  • Repair flooring, toilets, sinks, faucets, blinds, cabinets, decks and bookcases.
  • Perform caulking, weather-stripping, power washing and heavy cleaning.
  • Move and store furniture and equipment between sites.
  • Assist with openings/closings and facility audits.
  • Perform groundskeeping including shrub trimming, snow removal and plowing.
  • Report safety concerns to management; conduct fire safety checks.
  • Maintain repair documentation and internal reports.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment and vehicles; use tools safely.
  • Provide cost estimates for assigned work; coordinate with vendors.
  • Act as project manager for designated jobs and order supplies as needed.

What you’ll be doing

Customer Service & Compliance

Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.

Follow AFC Licensing Rules and organizational policies.

Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Facility Maintenance & Repairs

Travel to multiple locations across Michigan to complete first‑response maintenance tasks.

Perform installations including light fixtures, outlets, shelving, and garage door openers.

Safety & Documentation

Perform inspections of buildings, equipment, and vehicles.

Use tools and materials safely and as intended.

Provide accurate cost estimates for assigned work.

Serve as point person for outside maintenance and construction vendors.

Act as project manager for designated jobs.

Order and pick up supplies as needed.

Administrative Responsibilities

Maintain accurate receipts and reconcile credit card use monthly.

Track daily activities through the electronic work order system.

Complete required trainings with 95% on‑time renewal.

Provide oversight to consumer employees when needed.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Completion of required trainings and certifications
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and time management
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Advanced problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools and meters
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in challenging conditions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Work Experience Requirements

5+ years of maintenance experience

Major carpentry experience

Electrical and plumbing experience

Knowledge of tools and equipment

Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred
