Job summary

Continental-Management-LL in Oxford, MI seeks an experienced full-time Maintenance Technician for an apartment community. You will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and custodial tasks to keep the property well maintained and safe.

A valid driver’s license is required. The role includes on-site duties, standby coverage, move-in/move-out inspections, and participation in maintenance priorities. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, vacation time, and paid medical leave.

Qualifications

• Maintenance knowledge across electrical, plumbing, appliances and carpentry.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in apartment maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches and outlets.
• Do general plumbing work including clearing stoppages and replacing fittings.
• Paint interior and exterior areas as required.
• Carpentry tasks such as fitting doors, repairing shelves, and window work.
• Assist in custodial duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash, windows in common areas.

Responsibilities

• Performing general electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
• Perform general plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc. Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, locks, etc.
• Paint - interior and exterior areas, as required.
• Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, etc.
• Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, in common areas, etc.
• Assist with grounds work when necessary.
• Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
• Assist in stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
• Assist in completion of work order requests and adhere to maintenance priorities.
• Assist in refurbishing vacant apartments.
• Periodically inspect all units, buildings and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as needed.
• Assist in apartment move-in and move-out inspections as directed.
• Valid Driver's License.
