Job summary

Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our Public Housing portfolio in Roanoke, VA. The role involves performing routine structural, plumbing, electrical, and appliance maintenance in resident units, as well as painting, grounds work, and basic custodial duties.

You will report to the Property Manager and participate in on-call rotations. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with substantial maintenance experience; HVAC Universal

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and considerable years of experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible apartment maintenance experience.
• HVAC Universal Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine structural, plumbing, appliance, and electrical maintenance to repair apartment units.
• Operate a standard motor vehicle to transport equipment and tools.
• Perform routine painting, grounds maintenance, and custodial tasks.
• Prepare apartments for new tenants and maintain safety standards.
• Respond to work orders and coordinate with the Property Manager.
