Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Maintenance Tech to lead and coordinate maintenance activities across our automated manufacturing labs in Dallas. This role serves as the primary communications focal point for maintenance, organizing work, procuring parts, and ensuring uptime through planned and preventive activities.

The ideal candidate has an associates degree or technical-equivalent experience, 3+ years in a highly automated setting, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in a highly automated manufacturing, lean manufacturing/continuous flow operations.
• Proficiency in the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (Megamation).
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Demonstrated independent decision-making ability.
• Flexible and responsive to business needs.
• Proactive problem solving and leadership in resolving lab equipment issues.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work materials and writes work instructions to optimize maintenance labor.
• Identifies and procures parts and materials for planned and PM work orders.
• Writes purchase requests for repair/replacement parts and services.
• Prioritizes maintenance activities to align with production schedules and equipment needs.
• Estimates labor requirements for maintenance work orders.
• Leads weekly meetings with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance teams.
• Coordinates weekend/downtime activities as needed.
• Creates or updates PMs in Megamation as required.
• Schedules maintenance with contractors for Preventative Maintenance.
• Performs additional duties and special projects as directed.
