Job summary

Lumbermen’s in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on woodworking machinery. You will troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and electrical systems from 120V to 480V, and coordinate with vendors to keep production safe and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and electrical systems effectively.
• Experience with single- and three-phase 120–480V systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC and VFD faults.
• Demonstrate PLC operation knowledge and interactions with equipment.
• Troubleshoot, install, and repair 120–480V electrical systems.
• Safely identify voltages using a multimeter; understand phase differences.
• Troubleshoot and install 24V DC low-voltage controls and sensors.
• Diagnose sensors and control circuit issues in systems.
• Maintain Arc Flash certification and PPE safety practices.
• Support timely, efficient manufacturing and on-time delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork.
