Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Piedmont Apartments, a 250-unit affordable community in Oakland, CA. The role involves maintenance across units, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking, with a typical schedule M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and on-call duties for urgent needs.

The pay range is $25.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience, and the position includes onsite housing (1-bedroom/1-bathroom).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call hours.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, and basic electrical/plumbing/HVAC.
• Complete service requests per procedures.
• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal.
• On-call availability as scheduled.
