Related Affordable in Stamford, CT is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep our elderly and disabled residential communities safe, functional, and inviting. You will tackle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks while delivering high-quality service to residents.

You’ll join a dedicated team, have opportunities to develop your skills, and contribute to a thriving community. This non-exempt role includes on-call rotation and paid overtime where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Dedicated to exceeding expectations with a resident-centered service.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
• Other duties as assigned
