Related Affordable Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for two elderly and disabled residential communities in Stamford, CT. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks to keep buildings safe and inviting.

You will join a dedicated team, train junior staff, and participate in on-call rotations to support residents and maintain high standards. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance or related field experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must participate in emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds for safety issues.
• Perform advanced routine maintenance: plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
• Maintain common areas and grounds cleanliness.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs and rotate on-call for emergencies.
