Job summary

Woodruff Property Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform plumbing, painting, drywall repairs, and all general maintenance tasks across properties in Phenix City, AL. The role includes preparing vacant apartments for move-in and responding to resident service requests.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of maintenance experience in an apartment community, with HVAC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in an apartment community or related field.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screening; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs, painting, and cleaning
• Perform plumbing, painting, drywall repairs, and general maintenance tasks
• Clean out trash and debris from apartments before, during, and after the make-ready process
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and service calls as assigned
• Identify and report maintenance or liability hazards during daily tasks
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and apartment units
• Maintain clear communication with on-site staff and property managers regarding work progress
• Assist with additional property needs, including groundskeeping, trash pickup, pool maintenance, and housekeeping as required
• Participate in on-call duty for after-hours and weekend emergencies as assigned
• May be required to work at multiple WPMC properties as needed
