Job summary

B&G Foods Inc. in Yadkinville, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Level 2 to support production reliability in a food manufacturing environment. The role involves mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance on packaging lines and processing equipment, with emphasis on safety, GMPs, and HACCP compliance.

You will diagnose failures, perform repairs, assist with PM programs, and mentor Level 1 technicians while upholding strict sanitation and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in industrial mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and documentation.
• Experience with pumps and 3-phase 480V systems preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate to advanced mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Execute repairs including component replacement and drive service.
• Support PLC‑controlled equipment and perform I/O checks.
• Conduct PM tasks and document in CMMS.
• Identify improvements to maintenance programs and respond to downtime.
• Assist with equipment setup, line changes, and calibrations.
• Mentor Level 1 technicians and train operators on equipment fundamentals.
