Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Distribution Center. The role requires troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics and related equipment inside the DC.

You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, adhere to safety standards, train junior technicians, and coordinate with vendors to complete projects safely and efficiently. This is a full-time onsite position with variable shift requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety standards including LOTO.
• Troubleshoot, repair and PM equipment in the facility. document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts usage and maintain inventory levels.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Support DC operations and take on additional duties as needed.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
