Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician in a Distribution Center in Pennsylvania. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics, while ensuring safety and PM compliance.

You will train junior technicians and work with vendors to complete projects safely. Qualifications include an associate degree or technical certificate, 3-5 years of experience, welding/cutting skills, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or similar role.
• Experience welding, burning, and cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Able to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards and LOTO.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance and troubleshoot assets.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects in DCs safely and timely.
• Take on additional duties to support DC operations as needed.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
