Addison Fastener in Addison, IL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across the plant.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a technical certification. You will read blueprints, use diagnostic tools, and follow strict safety policies while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and PPE
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Technical certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment and machinery at the site
  • Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including, but not limited to hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc.
  • Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making.
  • Prioritize and assign jobs, monitor variances.
  • Ensure that appropriate records, instructions and prints are maintained.
  • Perform duties a safe manner at all times.
  • Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.)
  • Perform Machine Maintenance
  • Perform Plant and operations maintenance
  • Operating Procedures and/or work instructions. Is responsible for the quality of own work
  • Follows schedules, procedures and 6S housekeeping practices
  • Be goal-oriented toward manufacturing cost and work center efficiency
  • Offers ideas, suggestions, and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department

  • Under the direction of a Lead/Supervisor perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment and machinery at the site
  • Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including, but not limited to hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation (advanced skills are a plus).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Technical certification
