Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking an Engineer, Level 2 to ensure the property is maintained in excellent condition with minimal disruption to guests and staff. The role involves hands-on repair and preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Two years of progressive hotel-related experience preferred.
• Flexible with long hours and ability to lift heavy objects as required.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system; change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical).
• Take required readings on equipment and test cooling tower readings.
• Replace and program televisions as needed.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock system.
• Assist in supervising other engineering staff and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records; comply with codes.
