Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking an Engineer, Level 1, to ensure the property is maintained in optimal condition with minimal guest disruption. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs across the hotel facilities in Irving, TX.

The engineer will perform preventive maintenance, read equipment readings, and ensure compliance with codes while supporting guest services with attentive, high-quality operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or college coursework in related field helpful.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
• Take required readings on equipment.
• Test cooling tower and record readings.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock system.
