Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our team in the plant. You will support machinery performance and maintenance reliability with hands-on, on-the-job training and opportunities to earn additional certifications.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 5:00am–1:30pm, and provides a clear path for growth through progressively challenging maintenance tasks and learning experiences in a fast-paced food processing environment.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years experience in industrial maintenance and repairing mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Beginner proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, welding and rigging.
• Commitment to continuous learning and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• May assist in managing the machines’ performance by doing equipment set up and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns; maintain work records and write reports.
• Follow safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds standards.
