Job summary

Hendricks Memorial Hospital in Danville, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support safe, compliant facility operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, and help keep building systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities include filtering, plumbing repairs, lighting, equipment servicing, and using the CMMS to document work orders. Candidates should be reliable, able to follow instructions, and willing to work the 7:00am–3:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions and perform arithmetic calculations.
• No prior experience is mandatory; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean ice machines and change water filters.

• Complete minor repairs to building, equipment, appliances, fixtures, furniture, etc.
• Operates and maintains equipment in boiler room, equipment rooms, and exhaust fans throughout the hospital.
• Maintains all logs and tests that are assigned.
• Do electrical safety inspections on repaired and new equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and do corrective work orders as assigned.
• Completed documentation of assign work orders on CMMS software.

Completes and documents other building maintenance activities in an effective and efficient manner.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Order and replace air filters as necessary.
• Clean ice machines and change water filters.
• Plunge toilets, sinks and various clogged drains, Replace/repair faucets, toilets, valves, sink and various other plumbing fixtures.
• Service shredders, staplers, wheel chairs, carts, etc.
• Assists maintenance technicians to perform minor maintenance functions as required.
• Assemble carts, table, chairs, shelves and other incoming equipment.
• Complete minor repairs to building, equipment, appliances, fixtures, furniture, etc.
• Operates and maintains equipment in boiler room, equipment rooms, and exhaust fans throughout the hospital.
• Maintains all logs and tests that are assigned.
• Checks gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other equipment to insure that equipment is operating properly and efficiently.
• Do electrical safety inspections on repaired and new equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and do corrective work orders as assigned.
• Completed documentation of assign work orders on CMMS software.
• Reports any emergency problems to engineering management.
• Replaces light bulbs and ballast as necessary.
• Drives hospital vehicles on hospital campus, to satellite facilities, and to Indianapolis and surrounding area to perform job duties, deliver and pick up repair parts.
