Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support hospital operations by performing routine building and equipment maintenance across the campus and satellite facilities. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment servicing to ensure a safe, well-functioning environment for patients and staff.

The role requires a High School diploma, ability to follow instructions, on-the-job training, and willingness to work a 7:00am–3:30pm shift with 40

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and perform arithmetic calculations.
• No prior experience is mandatory.
• Will receive on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Order and replace air filters as necessary.
• Clean ice machines and change water filters.
• Plunge toilets, sinks and various clogged drains; replace/repair faucets, toilets, valves, sinks and fixtures.
• Service shredders, staplers, wheelchairs, carts, etc.
• Assist maintenance technicians to perform minor maintenance functions as required.
• Assemble carts, tables, chairs, shelves and other incoming equipment.
• Complete minor repairs to building, equipment, appliances, fixtures, furniture, etc.
• Operate and maintain equipment in boiler room and various rooms across the hospital.
• Maintain logs and tests; check gauges and valves to ensure proper operation.
• Perform electrical safety inspections on repaired and new equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance and process work orders as assigned.
• Document completed work orders in CMMS software.
• Report emergency problems to engineering management.
• Replace light bulbs and ballast as necessary.
• Drive hospital vehicles to campus, facilities, Indianapolis and surrounding area to perform duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and do corrective work orders as assigned.
• Completed documentation of assign work orders on CMMS software.
• Reports any emergency problems to engineering management.
• Replaces light bulbs and ballast as necessary.
• Drives hospital vehicles on hospital campus, to satellite facilities, and to Indianapolis and surrounding area to perform job duties, deliver and pick up repair parts.
