Job summary

Simmons is seeking a Maintenance Tech I (D Shift) on-site to assist in equipment repair and preventative maintenance within a poultry/food processing facility. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to Lean and company policies, with exposure to various trades including welding, electrical and hydraulics.

Successful candidates will support production requirements, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with engineers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment to meet production requirements.
• Consults with Engineers and vendors as needed and performs layout work for projects.
• Maintains safety and adherence to policies and regulations; supports team objectives.
• Acts as a team member to implement programs and policies and communicates issues to leadership.
• Familiar with operating systems principles and LEAN practices; supports system compliance.
