Job summary

Cascade Management, Inc. in Corvallis, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to assist the maintenance team in keeping buildings and grounds clean, safe, and in good repair.

Responsibilities include minor plumbing, janitorial work, and turnover tasks for vacant apartments, with regular safety checks and documentation. The role requires 1-3 years of related experience or training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel for trainings.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Help the maintenance team in keeping the building in good repair by performing minor plumbing, janitorial, and other related maintenance activities when required.
• Ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Pick up trash on grounds and keep breezeways, sidewalks, and grounds clear of clutter and debris.
• Assist in cleaning and turnover of vacant apartments to make the apartment rent-ready for the next tenant.
• Help in conducting move-out inspections and reporting, including checking smoke detectors regularly.
• Assist in the completion of maintenance requests, work orders, and update the Property Maintenance Log daily.
• Help in performing regular preventative maintenance inspections of all units.
• Notify the Community Manager of safety-related issues and lease violations.
• Travel as required for in person classes and annual education conferences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
