Job summary

Hamilton by Gunnebo in Milford, OH is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain production lines and plant machinery on a schedule-driven environment. You will troubleshoot electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold safety standards while keeping documentation up to date.

Qualifications

• Must be able to diagnose and repair equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and keeping accurate maintenance records.
• Familiarity with PLCs, electrical control panels, and reading electrical schematics.

• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
• Read and troubleshoot PLCs, electrical schematics, and blueprints; support controls & automation.
• Maintain/build logs, track maintenance work orders, and monitor spare parts inventory.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA, LOTO procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Assist with facility upkeep including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing.

Job description

• Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production lines and plant machinery.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Inspect, oil, calibrate, and service machines regularly according to a set schedule to avoid unexpected breakdowns. [1, 2]
• PLC & Controls Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, or program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and basic electrical control panels. [1]
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain building systems, including HVAC units, lighting, boilers, air compressors, and plumbing. [1]
• Safety & Compliance: Follow strict OSHA guidelines, complete proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). [1]
• Documentation & Parts: Log repairs, track maintenance work orders, and monitor spare parts inventory in shop stock

• Electrical & Voltage: Experience with AC/DC circuits, low voltage systems, and 480V industrial power distribution.
• Controls & Automation: Ability to read and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Mechanical & Fluid Power: Proficiency in repairing hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and conveyors.
• Fabrication & Repair: Skills in welding, metal fabrication, pipefitting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.
• Facility Systems: Maintenance experience with HVAC systema, Dust collection.
