Job summary

Dreamscape is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team on an on-call basis. The role covers building maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with occasional pool maintenance and reporting duties.

You will work varying shifts including AM/PM/overnight on-call, collaborating with hotel staff to keep facilities in top condition. Candidates should have at least 1 year of maintenance experience in hotels or hospitals, with hands-on skills across trades.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience; Hotel or Hospital environment preferred.
• Must have basic experience in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance with basic hand and power tools.
• Bilingual communication is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and windows, carpeting, etc.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other equipment.
• Ensure daily pool cleanliness and proper pool maintenance per standards.
• Maintain records and logs of tasks and reports as required by policy.

Description

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance person who is highly motivated and detail-oriented to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer on-call! This individual performs in various shifts, AM, pm, or overnight on call as needed. He performs a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, Painting, wall repair, tile work, and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the resort/hotel. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Your role:

• Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Makes repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and windows, carpeting, etc.
• Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Ensures daily cleanliness of the pool and conducts proper pool maintenance to standards.
• Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintains logs on completed tasks via the HOT SOS system.
• Prepares reports as requested by supervisors. Submits all requested reports/logs promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum (1) year of experience working in building maintenance; Hotel or Hospital environment preferred.
• MUST have basic experience in all maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. Experience using basic hand and power tools.
• Bilingual communication is preferred is not required.
• Able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs. and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance; able to push, pull without assistance, pull up to 200 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often overhead.

Please be advised that we are a large full-service hotel, and as such, this position requires extended periods on your feet with frequent long walks around the internal areas of the hotel along with considerable physical activity continuously, up to and including entire shifts.
